1997 Porsche 993 Turbo S Navigation
Model year 1997 was the last year for the rear-wheel drive 993 Turbo with air-cooled motor. After 35 years, the liquid-cooled cars were upon us....'the purists aren't happy, but it signifies a new dawn for Porsche.' In 1997 that last air-cooled 3600cc Turbo motor offered a little north of 400 horsepower, an increase of 140 horsepower from the first 2993cc 930 Turbo in 1975. That first air-cooled Turbo weighed 1140 kb, the last 1500kg.
