Maserati honored the company's win at the 1957 12 Hours of Sebring by naming their new model, the Sebring. The Sebring wore a body by Vignale who clothed the car in a 2+2 coupe configuration. They were intended for the U.S. market, and given luxuriously appointed leather interior and all-round disc brakes. Power was from a dual overhead cam six-cylinder engine, enlarged from 3,485cc to 3,694cc, resulting in a power increase to 245 horsepower and a top speed of 150 mph.
Maserati produced 245 examples of the Series II. This particular example has been given a no-expense-spared restoration and has covered very few miles since that time.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2014
