Sold for $9,500 at 2014 Mecum - Monterey.
The Series SY-1-M 1962 Imperial Crowns retained the 129-inch wheelbase and freestanding head lamps of their predecessors. The new rear end treatment was easily identified by freestanding gun sight tail lamps. Inside the car were 6-way seats, handbrake warning signal, electric clock, center armrest, power windows, and triple cigarette lighters. They also had power brakes, and a 340 horsepower engine with 470 foot-pounds of torque.

The custom-built Crown Imperial limousines were no longer offered, and the cars formerly referred to as Imperial Crowns became Crown Imperials. The Crown name and emblem could be found on the rear fenders, located just below the taillights.
