In 1983, Chevrolet made only 627 examples of the Convertible Cavalier. Creating the convertible aspect of the car was out-sourced to American Sunroof Corp. of Lansing, Michigan, and was Chevrolet's first ragtop since the Caprice Classic in 1975. The price to own the Convertible Cavalier was just under $11,000, which was a sizeable difference to the base cavalier, which cost just $5,880. Included with the convertible was tinted glass, power windows, power steering, and dual sport mirrors with the left one being remote controlled.By Daniel Vaughan | Jul 2007
