1949 Crosley Series CD Deluxe Sedan

The restyled 1949 cars were introduced by Crosley Motors in November of 1948. The Series CD came in three body styles including a Deluxe Sedan, Convertible, and Station Wagon. The redesign included a new radiator grille, a new hood, and a Crosley shield medallion on the front with a new type of hood mascot. The fenders were redesigned and housed the headlights. The wheel openings were reshaped; there were new wraparound bumpers in both the front and back; and the license plate holder was now located at the center of the deck lid. The Station Wagon was the most popular body style, with 3,803 examples sold. 2,231 examples of the Deluxe Sedan were built, and just 645 of the convertible found buyers. Power was from a 44 cubic-inch L4-cylinder engine offering 27 horsepower and mated to a non-synchromesh three-speed gearbox.

This example is painted Maroon with a gray interior. It has been cosmetically restored and had an MSRP of $865 when new. It also has a factory-optional sun visor.
