1976 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Sedan

The 1976 Chevrolet Caprice Classic was available as a Coupe and Landau Coupe, Sedan and Sport Sedan, and Estate Wagon. They had a wheelbase size of 121.5-inches which it shared with the Impala. The station wagons had a 125 inch platform. The base engine was an overhead valve V8 displacing 350 cubic-inches and offering 145 horsepower. Optional engines were available including a 454 V8.

For 1976, the convertible bodystyle was no longer available on the Caprice. This would also be the final year for the pillarless four-door hardtop body. In the front was new styling with a grille that had chrome horizontal and vertical bars. The front also had new quad rectangular headlamps. In the back were triple-unit wraparound tail lamps. The Caprice models had bodyside moldings with color-keyed textured vinyl inserts, hideaway windshield wipers, power steering and brakes, heater/defroster, deluxe bumpers, and carpeting. They also had an electric clock, quiet sound group, steel-belted radial tires, and rear fender skirts.

This particular Caprice Classic has been dealer owned since new. It has not been titled and currently has just 134 miles on the odometer. Power is from a 454 cubic-inch, big block engine mated to an automatic transmission. It has been in protective storage since 1976.
