Sold for $66,000 at 2015 Gooding & Company - Arizona.
The new 1968 Dodge Charger rested on a redesigned B-Body platform and given aggressive and athletic body lines, along with a revised 'flying-buttress' rear roofline which replaced the fastback styling of the 1966-67 models.

The executives at Chrysler prepared for sales to reach around 35,000 units for the 1968 Charger. The design was so well received by the public that sales soared to 96,100 units. Dodge offered a performance-oriented R/T (Road and Track) version of the Charger as part of Dodge's Scat Pack model lineup. The Charger R/T was available with the 426 Hemi and from mid-1969, the 440 Six Pack engine. The standard 440 Magnum V-8 was rated at 375 horsepower and offered immense torque.

The 1969 and 1970 Charger received mild stylistic revisions, however, the fuselage-inspired boy line remained intact.

This Dodge Charger R/T is finished in Blue (B5) with a white vinyl top. It has the R/T emblems, Rallye wheels, dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips, and white bucket seats. There is a Hurst Pistol-Grip shifter for the four-speed manual transmission, floor console, power brakes, a Tic Toc tachometer, and gauges monitoring amperage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Under the hood is the 440 Magnum V-8 engine fitted with a single Carter 4-Barrel carburetor and delivering 375 horsepower. In the front are disc brakes with drums at the rear.
