1962 Maserati 3500 GT Coupe

This Maserati wears Touring Superleggera coachwork and is powered by a six-cylinder twin cam twin-plug aluminum engine mated to a five-speed transmission. It was completed at the Modena based Maserati factory in November of 1962. It was built in the latter part of the model's production, and thus contains several important upgrades and evolutions during the model run, such as four-wheel disc brakes, a ZF five-speed transmission, and Lucas mechanical fuel injections (although the Weber carburetor version was still available).

This car left the factory painted in its current paint scheme of Celeste Ardenza light blue metallic, trimmed in red Connolly leather interior and equipped with silver Borrani disc wheels. Its first owner was a Milanese resident named Sig. Susi Arlandi Gandini who took possession of the car in March of 1963. It is believed to have spent about a decade in Italy before it was exported to the United States. It was recorded as having a La Jolla, California owner named Jeremy Cauley in the mid-1970s. In the early 1980s, it entered the care of a Los Angeles area resident, before engine up in the northwest part of the country with Seattle, Washington resident F. Mandarano in the late 1980s.

The car returned to Europe in 1995 and entered several German collections for the next decade and a half. From 2005, it was owned by Michael Wachsmann of Haan, Germany. While in his care, it was treated to a light restoration during which the original Lucas fuel injection was removed and boxed up, while a trio of period-correct Weber carburetors was installed. The carburetors are currently installed on the car but the fuel injection also remains with the car. Since that time, other mechanical servicing and work have been performed on the car.

The car returned to the United States in 2012 when it was sold to a Virginia Beach resident named Mr. Olivier Perrault.

Currently, the car has approximately 65,000 kilometers on the odometer.
