1971 Chrysler Town & Country Station Wagon

Chrysler's station wagon for 1971, the Town & Country, was given minor updates and was available in either 6- or 9-passenger trim. Along the side and rear panels was Brazilian wood applique which could be removed without occurring additional cost. Pricing began at $5,600 for the 6-passenger station wagon while the 9-passenger version sold for (approximately) an additional $80. The 9-passenger version was more popular, with 10,993 sales, while the 6-passenger version found 5,697 buyers. Power was from a 383 cubic-inch V8 engine offering 275 horsepower. They came equipped with all the New Yorker features except the electric clock, undercoating, and mirror. They had a luggage compartment lock, dual-action tailgate, rear roof wind deflector, and an all-vinyl bench seat in the front.

This particular example was given power windows, power seats, power door locks, sentinel lights and telescopic wheels, and an AM/FM radio. Inside are leather seats, front and rear air conditioning, a two-way tailgate, a roof rack, and a rebuilt 440 CID engine mated to an automatic transmission. The paint is mostly original.
