1957 Arnold Special Navigation
The Arnold Special is a one-off tube-framed aluminum-bodied Triumph-powered sports racer designed and built by Edgar Arnold in Suffolk, British Columbia in 1957. Mr. Arnold raced the car in the E-modified class in SCCA and CASC events in the early years before it passed through a succession of owners. Log books since 1990 document the car's participation in the Monterey Historics twice and Road America Vintage Festival six times among numerous other events. Racing appearances in 2014 include the Lime Rock Historic Festival 32 and U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. The car received Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing's Committee Choice Car Award in 1996 and was exhibited at the 2014 Lime Rock Historic Festival's Sunday in the Park Concours.
