1969 Porsche 911S Coupe

The Porsche 911 received its first major overhaul in 1969. It received a wheelbase that was lengthened by 2.4 inches to a total of 89.4 inches. It was given twin 12-volt 35 AMP batteries that were mounted in each fender before the front wheels. The wheel openings in the front and back were flared slightly to accommodate the larger wheels and tyres. Perhaps the most significant improvement was the Bosh Fuel Injection system fitted to both the E and S models. The more powerful Model S also received an extra oil cooler to handle the increased horsepower of 170 BHP.

This particular Porsche 911 S Coupe is one of just 1,492 examples produced for worldwide sales by Porsche. It was produced by the factory with a completion date of January 08, 1969. It has had one concours quality repaint in its original Polo Red color (6802). The interior remains original from the date of production. Factory options include the rare rear window wiper, Halogen 'Thru the grill' Floodlights, factory sport seats, headrests, Blaupunkt 'New Yorker' radio/ antenna and deep 6 Fuch alloys.
