1980 Datsun 280ZX Hatchback Coupe

The Datsun 280ZX was a two-seat hatchback coupe that was powered by an overhead-cam six-cylinder engine displacing 168 cubic-inches and delivering 132 horsepower. A five-speed manual was standard with a three-speed automatic available for an additional cost. Pricing began at nearly $10,000 and rose to $12,240 to the GL (Grand Luxury) Hatchback. The GL models came standard with air conditioning, cloth upholstery, radio, power steering, and cruise control.

The 280ZX received only a few changes for the 1980 model year as it had been restyled the prior year. For 1980, it was given a new warning system that checked functions at startup - if everything was five, an 'OK' signal was given. A T-bar roof was optional on the GL two-seater, and has twin tinted-glass panels that could be removed and stored in the luggage compartment.

This Datsun 280ZX is a low mileage example that is powered by a 2.8-liter overhead cam fuel-injected 6-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. There it a T-bar roof, air conditioning, power antenna, alloy wheels, power 4-wheel disc brakes, computer sensor system, upgraded to 10th anniversary package, and new tires.
