2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe

The Alfa Romeo re-introduced to the North American market has been a long awaited return by all enthusiasts of the brand. The very limited 8C model started this process in the 2007 model year for a very limited production run. In the 2015 model year, Alfa came back again with the introduction of the 4C model.

Styling was influenced by the amazing 1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made. By incorporation of this theme, the 4C with its short front and rear overhangs and classic V-shaped front grille is a powerful statement and beautiful result. Powering this car is a 237 horsepower inline 4 turbocharged motor which propels it from 0 to 60 mph in a scant 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 160 mph.

This performance is made possible by the construction of the chassis which has a carbon fiber center section with lightweight aluminum front and rear subframes. The engine is mounted to a twin clutch 6-speed transmission which is controlled by shift paddles behind the steering wheel.

The car shown here is number 165 of the Launch Edition which had a total production run of 500 cars.
