This Packard 904 Individual Custom Stationary Coupe wears Dietrich body design number 2068. It was delivered through Earle C. Anthony in Los Angeles in mid-March 1932. Around the early 1960s, it entered the care of Harold Crosby of Sunland, California, and was soon given a restoration and finished in two shades of green. The restoration was completed in 1966 and then exhibited at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, earning a First in Class award.
Mr. N. Gene Perkins of Indiana purchased the car from Crosby in 1968 and has been enjoyed on CCCA CARavans and exhibited occasionally on show fields in the Midwest. In 1994, he returned it to Pebble Beach, where it earned a class award and, significantly, was presented with the same restoration completed nearly 30 years prior.
A second restoration was performed on the Packard in the early 2010s. The work was performed by Craig Campbell of Ontario, Canada, and refinished in two shades of cream with an accenting leather interior. After the work was completed, it was shown at Pebble Beach in 2015, earning a Second in Class award.
Design features and accessories fitted to this vehicle include the steel spare-wheel covers, single Pilot Ray driving light, original Dietrich sill plates, chrome stone guard, and Goddess of Speed radiator mascot.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2022

This is one of two 1932 Stationary Coupes by Dietrich known to survive, and it has been in the possession of its current owner for forty years. The Model 904 was offered in five custom bodies including a Convertible Coupe, Sport Phaeton, Convertible Sedan, Convertible Victoria, and this Stationary Coupe. At the time, Dietrich was a division of Packard, so these were, in effect, coach-built factory designs. This Stationary Coupe is considered one of the most stylish automobiles of the Classic Era and is particularly noted for its rakish chrome-framed windshield design. Packard's famous sales pitch was 'Ask the Man Who Owns One.'
