1929 DuPont Model G Club Coupe

The first duPont Model G, introduced at the New York Auto Show in January of 1929, was a 2-passenger Speedster with sporting coachwork by the Merrimac Body Company of Massachusetts. The Model G was priced from $4,360 to $5,750 and buyers were able to select from 12 body styles, which included everything from roadsters to town cars, most of which were built by Merrimac.

This Model G Merrimac Club Coupe is reported to have been shown at the 1929 Philadelphia Auto Show and was then used as a service vehicle for duPont Motors. The rumble seat, which is specified in the build records, was apparently not installed; instead, a trunk was provided, allowing room for the technician's toolbox.
