1953 Ferrari 166 MM Navigation
Ferrari produced an updated version of the 166 MM in 1953 called the 166 MM/53, and 13 of these models were built, including 10 with Vignale bodies. This car is the last Vignale-bodied car, which was finished in June 1953 and sold via the flamboyant playboy, race driver and unofficial Ferrari dealer Porfirio Rubirosa to its first owner, Hollywood screenwriter Ranald 'Randy' MacDougall. MacDougall raced the car in the 1954 Pebble Beach Road Race, finishing first in class and fifth overall in the Del Monte Trophy race. The following year, after a crash, Randy decided to give up racing and the car was sold to Otto Zipper and then to Jack Brumby.
