1930 Lincoln Model L Navigation
The Lincoln Model L was produced from 1921 to 1930. The first Lincoln Ls were powered by a 60-degree V8 engine producing 80 horsepower and had a guaranteed top speed of at least 80 horsepower and had a guaranteed top speed of at least 70 mph. The 1930 Model L featured a larger 384 cubic-inch V8 producing 90 horsepower.
This Sport Roadster is the rarest of them all, with Locke coachwork featuring a disappearing top. Lincoln exhibited the Locke-bodied Model L Sport Roadster at the 1930 Automobile Salon Show in New York City, and it had a price tag of just over $5,000. Renowned Lincoln collector Jack Passy bought it in the 1970s in very original condition from its second owner. It has long taken price of place in his extensive collection of Lincolns.
