1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 SUV

Toyota created the first BJ series in 1951 at the behest of the U.S. Army, which requested Toyota to build an all-terrain capable light utility vehicle similar to the WWII Jeep. In 1954, the Land Cruiser name first appeared.

This example is an original California car that was treated to a three year restoration. Everything possible was replaced with authentic NOS Toyota parts, including the nuts, bolts and washers. The body-off restoration including metal finishing of all body panels, and it was then finished in Dune Beige (T-416) with a Cygnus White (T-012) top.

This FJ40 features accessories such as the ultra-rare factory Power Take Off (PTO) winch, an accessory overdrive transmission, and four-wheel power disc brakes.

The engine is an overhead valve six-cylinder engine displacing 235 cubic-inches and delivering 135 horsepower. There is a three-speed manual transmission with low range, overdrive, and part-time AWD.
