2008 Lamborghini Reventon Coupe

This Lamborghini Reventon is the seventh of just twenty examples built. When introduced, the Reventon was the most exclusive, extreme, and expensive vehicle the company had ever produced. In keeping with Lamborghini tradition, the Reventon married world-class performance with revolutionary aesthetics. Mounted mid-ship was a 6.4-liter V-12 engine that produced a mesmerizing exhaust note which is funneled through its large, centrally mounted, singular exhaust pipe. The sharp angled bodywork was completely new and its flat grey color were styled after modern fighter jets. Opening the distinctive scissor doors revealed a cock-pit that was equally extreme, with three TFT liquid crystal displays that could be changed at the touch of a button from the classic circular instruments to displays that has more in common with that of an F-22 than an automobile.

Lamborghini produced 20 Reventons plus one for the factory museum. All were finished in the same color combination: a flat grey with a slight hint of green and mild metallic flakes and an interior swathed in military-green alcantara, black leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber. Only the company's most loyal customers were afforded the opportunity to purchase a Reventon, at a price of $1.5 million. All 20 examples were spoken for before the car was announced.

This particular example was delivered to Lamborghini Dallas and sold new to its first owner, Erich Spangenburg, a Lamborghini collector and resident of Dallas. The car remained with Mr. Spangenburg for only a short period of time, prior to coming into the care of its current owner. The odometer shows less than 900 miles since new.
