This Silver Gray (paint code DB-180) over Cognac 300SE Cabriolet was the 20th wedding anniversary gift to the current owner's wife's mother in 1965, and the car has remained in the family ever since. Today, its total mileage is just over 47,000. Back in 1965, the W112 300SE Cabriolet was a rare car with only 708 built of the whole series from 1962 to 1967; there was a lot of hand assembly of this classic Friedrich Geiger design, and thus the cars were not inexpensive. Under the hood from 1964 onwards was a 170 horsepower, single overhead cam, 6-cylinder M189 motor and automatic transmission (manual was an option).
