This Porsche 928GTS is a nicely preserved, original, and unrestored example with nearly 17,500 miles on its odometer. It is black over classic gray and is powered by a 5.4-liter V8, a full liter increase over the original car of 1978. It had wider rear fenders, new 5-spoke 'Turbo-design' 17-inch wheels, and 'GTS' to the name. With horsepower quoted at well over 300, the resulting top speed was now 171 mph with a quarter mile time of 14.5 seconds (to the 911 Turbo's 12.7, that year). By 1993 the 928 GTS had become a high-performance, luxury supercar in its own right. Just not a replacement for the 911.
