1964 AMC Rambler Classic Navigation
The 1964 Rambler Classic was available with either a six- or eight-cylinder engine, in several body styles, and various trim levels. The list of body styles included a sedan, 2-door sedan, station wagon, and hardtop. Standard equipment included dual headlights, 6.95 x 14 blackwall tires, and front foam cushions.
The Rambler Classic received a new grille with Rambler lettering stamped into the upper bar, and integrated headlights. The base trim level was the 550 which came as a sedan, 2-door sedan or wagon. Pricing began at $2,065 for the 2-door and rose to $2,450 for the station wagon.
The Classic 660 had the same body styles as the 550, and added a mid-body side step which ran from the front to the back. They also had automatic dome lights, glovebox lock, carpets, dual horns, and rear armrests. The Classic 770 received '770' numbering and a slightly reshaped design to the front tip of the molding. Inside, they were given an electric clock, padded dash and visors, two-tone steering wheel, and full wheel discs.
