2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe

Alfa Romeo's re-introduction to the North American market has been a long awaited return by all enthusiasts of the brand. The very limited 8C model started this process in the 2007 model year for a very limited production run. In the 2015 model year, Alfa came back again with the introduction of the 4C model.

Styling was heavily influenced by the amazing 1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made. By incorporation of this theme, the 4C with its short front and rear overhangs and classic heart-shaped front grille is a powerful statement and beautiful result.

Powering this car is a 237 horsepower in-line turbocharged four-cylinder engine which propels it from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a scant 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 160- miles per hour. This performance is made possible by the construction of the chassis which features a carbon fiber center section or 'tub' with lightweight aluminum front and rear sub-frames. The engine is mounted to a twin clutch 6-speed transmission which is controlled by shift paddles behind the steering wheel.

The 4C with its lightweight construction and superb power-to-weight ratio helped it accomplish the fastest lap at the Nurburgring for a car with less than 250 horsepower. The time it managed was 8:04.
