This 1965 Turner MK III Speciale is one of the nine MK III Speciale Competition cars produced by Turner in Wolverhampton, England. Raced throughout the United States since 1965. Five Speciale cars are known to survive.

Between December 1964 and April 1965, Fergus Fine Automobiles of New York City contracted with the Turner Sports Car Co., Ltd. of Wolverhampton, England to deliver a small number of high-performance, MK III race cars based on the Ford Cortina 1500 GT engine. Competition components included balanced/hardened connecting rods, polished/flowed head and manifolds, balanced high-compression pistons, five main bearing crank, racing camshaft, twin Weber DCOE carburetors, oil cooler, balanced driveshaft, limited-slip differential, rear trailing control arms/Panhard bar, front/rear coil-overs, roll bar, close-ratio gears, hardened axles, compensated brakes, and rack and pinion steering. The claimed performance was 132 horsepower, and zero-to-sixty mph took 6.5 seconds. 146 mph was achieved over a flying mile.
