This Ferrari was built for the 1972 season and was first raced by Tim Schenken and Ronnie Peterson during the Daytona 6 Hours. The car finished second behind the sister car piloted by Jacky Ickx and Mario Andretti. Carlos Pace and Arturo Merzario drove it during the 1973 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to another 2nd place finish.
