1952 Chevrolet Model KP Series 3100 Pickup

The 1947-55 Chevrolet Advance Design pickup trucks had an attractive and popular design that was consistent across all model and trim levels. They were offered in a multitude of configurations from light delivery to heavy-duty cabovers. During its entire eight-year run, the Advance Design Chevrolet was the most popular truck in America.

The 1952 Chevy Series 3100 1/2-ton trucks wore styling similar to the prior year models. They received push-button door handles in 1952, and the Sedan Delivery had a grille in similar fashion to the passenger car.

The base engine was the Thriftmaster overhead valve inline-6 that displaced 216.5 cubic inches and offered 92 horsepower. A 235.5 CID inline-6 came with a Powerglide gearbox and produced 105 horsepower. A three-speed synchromesh transmission was standard and hydraulic brakes were fitted at all four corners.

This 1/2-ton pickup is powered by the smaller of the two available engines. It is a three-window cab that has been given a professional-grade body-off rotisserie restoration and mechanical overhaul. It has the durable column-shift 3-speed manual transmission that was used across the Advance Design lineup. The exterior is finished in Sunset Red and there is a new wood bed. The interior is Brown and features a refurbished 1952-issue Chevrolet radio, functional gauges, and working windshield wipers. The Ventipane windows work with the Advance Design breathing cabin and working outside air ventilator heater-defroster.
