BMW's exciting re-entry to Formula 1 competition during a period of brilliant sights and sounds for fans. The period featured powerful, sonically-delightful, normally aspirated 3.0-liter V10 engines and extremely high rev limits thanks to exotic valve-trains powered by pressurized nitrogen.
This car, FW22-02, was constructed by legendary team Williams in partnership with BMW Motorsport, and represents BMW's first year back in Formula 1 since the mid-1980s. This car raced in its current number 9 livery during the 2000 season and was piloted by Ralf Schumacher to a 5th place finish in that year's Championship with three podium finishes. Schumacher's teammate was Jensen Button who drove the No. 10 FW22. The BMW Williams F1 Team finished the 2000 season 3rd in team points.

The FW24 that Jeff drove was a further development of the first car developed in the BMW/Williams partnership: The 2000 FW22. The FW22 Chassis 02 is powered by the BMW E41/4 3.0 liter V10 capable of 18,000 RPM and producing over 810 hp. It has a 2,998cc displacement a bore of 94mm and a stroke of 42.3mm. The vales are pneumatic with four valves per cylinder. The engine electronics are by BMW Motorsport. The weight of the V10 engine is 117kg.
