Coupe
Chassis #: 12
This is the sister car to the famous 'Spirit of Le Mans' Corvette. The car was built by John Greenwood for Albert Deleo for the 1977 Sebring 12 Hour race. It was never run in that race, in fact, it was never raced. It was parked at the owner's Connecticut home. It was finally purchased from Mr. DeLeo by Lance Smith in 1991. Dave Force next purchased the car from Mr. Smith. The current owner acquired the car in 2013. Power is by a 478 cubic-inch aluminum V8, with Kinsler fuel injection, making approximately 730 horsepower. It features Greenwood's unique coilover rear suspension. The car is currently maintained by Caldentey Engineering, in France. Because of its limited race use, this car is considered to be the most original of the Greenwood wide body Corvettes.
