1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Roadster

Soon after the introduction of the 1300cc Giulietta in 1954, Alfa Romeo became, for the first time, a high volume manufacturer. he original Giulietta Sprint Coupe of 1954 was soon joined by a more practical Berlina and a Spider, with the Spider wearing coachwork by Pinin Farina.

The original 750 series Giulietta later evolved to the 101 series, and its wheelbase grew by two inches. It featured a dual overhead camshaft alloy engine, large, finned drum brakes, and a fully synchronized manual transmission.

This particular example has been in the present ownership since 2008. It is reported to be a three owner car from new. The current owner has treated the car to a full repaint in the original and archetypal livery for these cars of Rosso. Much of the original trim was re-chromed. The white interior and top was found to be in good condition. The transmission was rebuilt as was the carburetor.

The engine is a 1290cc dual overhead cam four-cylinder unit fitted with a Solex carburetor. There is a 4-speed manual tranmission and finned drum brakes.
