1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Navigation
The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is the long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit. It replaced the Silver Wraith in 1980 while continuing the unibody construction initiated by the Shadow in 1967. In comparison to its predecessor, the Silver Spur was given more power and re-designed to be less upright. IN 1980, the base price for this model was approximately $119,000.
The examples destined for the United States were given a 6.75-liter aluminum V-8 fitted with Bosch fuel injection and offering 220 horsepower. The European examples were given carburetors. The cars were given burl walnut wood trim, Connolly leather hide interiors and WIlton carpets. The steering was power rack-and-pinion and Rolls-Royce used a hydraulic self-leveling suspension at the back. Power disc brakes could be found at all four corners.
This particular example has been lovingly held by the original purchaser and has been well maintained. It currently has 25,000 miles on the odometer.By Daniel Vaughan | Jun 2016
