1968 Subaru 360 Navigation
The Subaru 360 was certainly a progressive vehicle for its day, with its rear hinged doors, fiberglass roof panel, and swing axle rear suspension. Available as a two-door, station wagon, 'convertible' and sport model variations, it was one of Japan's most popular cars. Around 10,000 examples were sold in the United States. An unusual series of commercials advertised the car as 'Cheap and Ugly' in an attempt at counter-psychology.

The Subaru 360 was a rear-engined, two-door city car that was marketed from 1958 to 1971 by Fuji Heavy Industries' Subaru division. Production reached 392,000 over its twelve year model run.

This particular example has undergone an extensive restoration, after which it spent the next decade as a display car at the dealership where it was restored.
