Hardtop Sport Coupe
In 1971, the personal luxury car market was strong, with manufactures hungry for a piece of this new and very profitable segment. Cadillac's personal luxury car, the Eldorado, was re-introduced as a personal luxury car in 1967. It would undergone a substantial redesign in 1971, growing six inches in wheelbase, but only two inches in overall length. The result was a rounder, much heavier looking automobile, featuring a long hood and short deck, enhanced by the return of the standard rear fender skirts.

As hard as it is to believe today, this car, with its 126.3-inch (3210mm) wheelbase, was the smaller, sporty Cadillac of the era. Featuring a massive 8.2-liter, 500 cubic-inch engine, 27,368 Eldorados were sold in 1971, demonstrating the public's love of the design. In 1972, Cadillac would see sales rise to a whopping 40,074 units.

This example is an original and unrestored Eldorado that has travelled approximately 12,000 miles from new. It belonged to the current owner's father, a Cadillac enthusiast whose dream was to share the beautiful lines of the car with other enthusiasts at major shows and Concours events.
