1963 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside Motorhome

Chevrolet introduced a Corvair-based line of trucks and passenger vans in 1961. These forward-control, rear-engine vehicles, sold from 1961 through late 1964, were space-efficient and smooth riding. A wide variety of models and configurations were available.

A 1963 Rampside Pickup was the base for this particular example, a motorhome built by Sani-Cruiser Company of Carsonville, Michigan. It was purchased by the current owner in the mid-1990s. An extensive restoration to original specifications, taking nearly five years, was recently completed.

Notably, this Rampside Motorhome still has its original screened awning and all original appliances. It is a fully self-contained unit with a stove, refrigerator, toilet, holding tank, and radiant heat. The exterior features an authentic two-tone color combination and eye-catching 'Deluxe' trim.
