1964 Chevrolet Greenbrier Navigation
Chevrolet's Corvair-based Greenbrier van was introduced in 1961. The highly space-efficient Greenbrier featured an air-cooled six-cylinder engine mounted beneath the rear load floor. With its 4-wheel fully independent suspension system, the Greenbrier offered a notably smooth ride.
The Greenbrier could seat up to nine people with the available three-seat option. This particular 1964 Greenbrier was built with the attractive Deluxe decor package, which added chrome bumpers and bright grille, plus an up-level two-tone vinyl interior with additional sound deadening materials. Other options included two-tone exterior paint, 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and full wheel covers. The Corvair engine was enlarged from 145 to 164 cubic-inches in 1964 and horsepower jumped from 84 to 95.
Only 6,201 Greenbriers were built for 1964 and production ended during the 1965 model year.
