2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 Coupe

The new Cayman GT4 with the distinctive mid-engine layout is the long awaited step beyond the boundary, and onto the racetrack. Porsche's tribute to all the motorsport enthusiasts, the GT4 has everything it needs - not just to survive on the racetrack.

With the GT4, performance is united with the great agility and cornering dynamics of a proven mid-engine concept. The naturally aspirated flat-six engine is equipped with a direct fuel injection (DFI), VarioCam Plus. From its capacity of 3.8 liters, it delivers an imperious 385 horsepower at 7400 RPM, and maximum torque of 309 pound feet. The time to 0 to 60 miles per hour is just 4.2 seconds with a top track speed is 183 miles per hour. The output of the engine is transmitted to the road by the particularly lightweight six-speed manual transmission.

The distinctive front spoiler lip on the front apron together with the extra spoiler elements ahead of the wheel arches help to increase aerodynamic downforce.

The origins of the new GT4 are most clearly discernible at the rear end. The fixed wing, with uprights in aluminum, is the very epitome of motorsport. The powerful finale is presented by the black rear apron and diffuser with two centrally positioned tailpipes, also in black. The sound is nothing short of explosive, thanks to the sport exhaust system fitted as standard. The 20-inch alloy wheels have 245/35 ZR 20 tires on 8.5 J front wheels and 295/30 ZR 20 tires on 11 J rear wheels.
