1958 Fiat 500 Navigation
1958 was the first year Fiat imported cars to the United States. The Department of Transportation ruled that Fiat must install larger 'Americanized' headlights and stronger bumpers to meet regulations, thus the 'frogeye' look. Also, the American version was powered by a 500cc, 24 horsepower Sport engine instead of the 14 horsepower Euro version.
