This Ferrari 330 GTC is a late-production example and a recent garage find. It is currently in as-discovered, unrestored state following four decades in single-family ownership. It was car number 590 in the model's assembly sequence and just seven 330 GTC chassis number numbers followed 11543. As such, it has the improvements that were applied to the late-production 330 and subsequent 365 GTCs, including constant-velocity joints, an oil cooler, needle-bearing gearbox, and cable-actuated clutch.
This car is a European specification example with left-hand-drive and left the factory fitted with air-conditioning, power-operated brakes, power window lifts, and cast alloy wheels by Campagnolo. It is finished in Blue Ribot over black leather upholstery, and has instrumentations in metric. During July of 1968, it was completed and delivered to official Ferrari dealer Motor S.a.s., where it was sold to its first owner Count Tommaso Antolini Ossi of Rome.
It was exported from Italy to the United States in 1971, and into the care of William J. Carpenter of Cornwells Heights, PA. During the late 1990s, Mr. Carpenter placed the car into long-term storage where it remained approximately 20 years. When it emerged from its resting spot, it was acquired by its current caretaker. The odometer indicates less than 54,000 km (33,500 miles), believed original.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2016
