Maserati displayed a four-seater coupe at the 1965 Turin Motor Show, with the production-ready Mexico displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 1966. Power was sourced from the Quattroporte, a 4.7-liter unit capable of producing nearly 300 horsepower. The Mexico offered room for a driver plus three passengers as well as their luggage.
Maserati built just 485 examples.
This example was delivered new to Palermo, Italy. It was produced on December 12th of 1967. It was given a five-speed manual transmission, finished in Oro Longchamps with a Red leather interior. The car's early history is not known, but as of 1987, it was owned by Allen Steward of Alexandria, Texas. In the 1990s, it was purchased by Alfredo Brener of Houston. At that time, it was noted as being restored and refinished in its current shade of white.
