2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale Coupe

  • Chassis Number: ZAMDF44B000016977
Ferrari and Maserati were owned by Fiat S.p.A. in the mid-2000s. Utilizing the Enzo platform, the Maserati engineers and designers came up with the MC12. Designed by Frank Stephenson, the MC12 had a removable hardtop, allowing for open-top driving, and a large rear spoiler.

Maserati limited production to just 25 units, but later produced a second run of 25 cars.

The Maserati MC12 Corsa was campaigned in the FIA's GT and GT1 World Championship series. With the MC12 Corsa, Vitaphone Racing secured five consecutive team championships and a sixth of the first season of GT1 in 2010. Maserati won the manufacturer's Cup in 2005 and 2007 along with six Drivers' Championships.

This Maserati was purchased new by Mr. Magnon for the Riverside International Automotive Museum. It was imported to the United States under the Show and Display law by Classic Coach of Elizabeth, New Jersey. It was never registered for road use in Mr. Magnon's ownership. Instead, it accumulated mileage on tracks such as Laguna Seca and Pocono Raceway.

This Maserati was originally fitted with engine number 000075, but is currently powered by engine number 000090, which is believed to be the original engine.
