Sold for $27,500 at 2016 RM Sotheby's : Monterey.
The Dodge Omni was short and lightweight, yet it was not the traditional vehicle Carroll Shelby attached his name to. Nonetheless, the Shelby GLHS - 'Goes Like Hell S'More,' in Shelby's parlance - was given Shelby's attention which went beyond just special graphics. The suspension was beefed-up with Koni shocks, 15-inch Shelby Centurion alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle GT II performance tires, and a 175-horsepower intercooled, fuel-injected turbocharged four-banger. With the modifications, the Shelby Omni GLHS could race from zero-to-sixty in just 6.7 seconds.

This particular example, finished in black with special graphics, was Carroll Shelby's personal car. It has 7,733 actual miles and remains in well-preserved condition.
