1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Series HardTop Coupe

Dodge restyled the Coronet in 1966, giving it the popular 'Coke-bottle' appearance to its Charger-derived body sides. The new-for-1967 high-performance R/T model could be identified from the standard Coronet by its front grille, which also resembled that of the Charger but with fixed rather than hideaway headlights. They also had four simulated scoops at the rear of the hood and R/T badges on the grille and quarter panels. The standard engine in the Coronet R/T was the 440 CID Magnum V8 with 375 horsepower.

The original owner of this Coronet R/T had it fitted with the optional 426/425 HP Hemi engine and backed it up with a 4-speed manual transmission. It was also given twin Carter AFB 4-barrel carburetors and dual exhaust, heavy-duty suspension, power front disc brakes and a 3.54:1 Dana Sure Grip rear end.

Just 283 Hemi-powered Coronet R/T hardtops were produced with just 121 of those equipped with the 4-speed manual transmission.

This particular example is believed to be one of only two 4-speed cars known to have been finished in Light Turquoise Metallic. The car has been given a no-expense-spared restoration which included rebuilding the original 426 Hemi powerplant. The car rides on chromed Magnum 500 road wheels wearing BF Goodrich redline radial tires. It has its original optional tinted windshield, dealer-installed AM/FM pushbutton radio, bucket seats and center console with tachometer, and chromed driver's outside mirror with remote control.
