This Porsche 911 Turbo has a classic black exterior with saddle leather interior. The odometer currently shows just 10,940 miles. The Turbo model was first imported into America in 1976, labeled as the 930 Turbo, and was met with strong sales. Beginning in 1980, Porsche announced that it would no longer import the 930 Turbo into the United States citing reasons of ever stringent and impending American emission regulations.
Many of these cars were privately imported into the United States and modified to meet the American emission and safety standards. If the car was found in compliance, it was issued an EPA certification sticker and could be registered for road use.
This Porsche Turbo is of European specification and has external differences such as the amber colored side marker lights on the side of the front fenders. It also has the narrow style rubber bumper guards and a red rear fog light just above the exhaust tip.
Along with the turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-6 engine, this Turbo has a 4-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, Whale Tail spoiler, sunroof, air conditioning, Becker cassette stereo, power windows, remote mirrors, Fuchs wheels, and Continental radial tires.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2016
