1990 BMW E30 M3 Sedan

During the M3 models racing career, it would amass an impressive resume of victories, including multiple DTM and Touring Car championships. In 1,628 days, the M3 would earn 1436 national and international victories.

The E30 M3, in street trim, was powered by a 195 horsepower engine that offered 176 lb-ft of torque. The racing versions, the Sport Evo cars, produced in excess of 300 horsepower.

All 4,996 US-spec cars were optioned identically, including AC, heated locks, mirrors, washer jets, a limited-slip differential, power windows, and leather seats. The only choice buyers were offered was the color. Depending on the year, the M3 was available in one or more shades of red (Henna-, Brillantrot, or Zinnober), silver (Sterling or Lacksilber), black (Diamantshwarz), and White (AlpinweiB). The rest of the world, however, could select plaid cloth seating, striped Evo cloth, AC-delete, a close-ratio gearbox, 16-inch wheels, larger fender openings, and manual windows. They were also offered in additional colors, including Macau Blue and Nogaro Silver.
