1957 Zundapp Janus Navigation
The Zundapp Janus 250 has two doors and seats four people. Its design is credited to Claudius Dornier, who is well-known for his 'push-pull' aircraft designs. The doors on the Zundapp are located at both the front and rear with passengers facing the front or rear. Mounted between the two rows of seats is the engine, which can be reconfigured to provide sleeping space for two occupants.
One of the purposes of this vehicle's design was to simplify pressings - the doors are identical. The name 'Janus' was selected in reference to the Roman god with two faces - one looking forward, the other looking back.
