Sold for $1,930,000 at 2021 Gooding & Company : Pebble Beach Concours Auction.
This 935 K3 is one of the thirteen original K3's built by Kremer featuring a 3.2-liter twin-turbo flat 6 that produced up to 800 HP, depending on the boost setting, and weighing 2,260 lbs. The Kremer Brothers, of Kremer Racing in Germany, would take over building and developing the 935 after Porsche stopped doing so in 1979. The K3 would prove to be the most successful Porsche 935 winning at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring as well as the IMSA Championship. This car was the 3rd 935K3 Interscope would own and one used the least as the team was in the process of switching to the Lola T600 to run in the GTP class starting in 1982. The best result for this car was second at the 1981 IMSA Road Atlanta 150 driven by team lead driver Danny Ongais.
