Studebaker Studebaker's President line for 1940 included a four-door sedan, two-door coupe, and two-door sedan called the Club Sedan. This Club Sedan is fitted with dual side-mounted spare tires, a rarity in 1940. Only two 1940 President Club Sedans with dual side-mounts are known to exist. This example is finished in Colleen Green Metallic two-tone paint. It has an eight-cylinder engine displacing 250.4 cubic inches and produces 117 horsepower.
The 1940 President had similar styling to its sibling, the Commander. Standard equipment included all the features found on the Commander, plus added a cigar lighter, clock, and dual horns. They had the largest wheelbase in the Studebaker lineup, measuring 122 inches. The tires measured 6.50 x 16.
