An elegant and rather rare Coupe designed by Albrecht Graf Goertz and built by BMW on the 502 saloon chassis from 1956 to 1959. From 1957 the gearbox was fitted directly to the engine and no longer positioned beneath the front seat as in 1956. A 2+2 Cabriolet version was also offered and both models featured lightweight aluminum body panels. This car is an unrestored example which has been in BMW Group Classic possession for several decades. It has a 3,168 cc V-8 engine producing 140 horsepower.
