1936 DeSoto Airflow Navigation
DeSoto Airflow models were produced from 1934 through 1936. A total of 13,940 were produced.
The current owner found this car in Oklahoma where it had been for six years after it had been in California all its life. He completed a body-off restoration which took five years. This Airflow still has all original components with a new original interior.
The car is powered by a 100-horsepower side-valve in-line 241.5 cu. in. 6-cylinder engine coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission and is capable of 75 mph. In 1934, this 3,325 lbs. car sold for $995.
The design of this Airflow was not to the public's taste. Years later, several similar designs from other manufacturers would emerge.
