1942 Buick Century Series 60 Sedanette Fastback

The 1942 Buick Century Series 60 eight-cylinder models were available as either a 4-door sedan or a 2-door Sedanette. Just 3,342 examples of the sedan and 1,229 of the Sedanette. Buick production of 1942 models ceased on February 2nd of 1942 so efforts could focus on World War II.

Powering the Series 60 was an overhead valve eight-cylinder engine displacing 320.2 cubic-inch and offered 165 horsepower. The engine was mated to a 3-speed sliding gear transmission with column controls. Hydraulic brakes could be found on all four corners.

The Sedanette fastback body style was offered on all Buick models for 1942 except the Limited line. This particular example is one of just 1,229 Sedanette Fastback models produced on the Century line. It is finished in two-tone Taupe over Maroon exterior, with a correct gray cloth interior. It has the original radio, heater, clock in glove box door, rear fender skirts, and a full spare with a jack.
