1970 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Navigation
This Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was completed in December of 1969 and is believed to be the first U.S.-specification version built for the 1970 model year. It left the factory finished in Oro Nasrullah over black leather upholstery, and delivered to Bill Harrah's Modern Classic Motors, the factory's official West Coast distributor. It was originally retailed through Chic Vandagriff's Hollywood Sport Cars in Los Angeles, and sold to Walter Earl Brown, a Los Angeles resident. It was eventually exported to Europe and sold to Dr. Norbert Reuter of Konstanz, Germany. While in Dr. Reuter's care, the car was given a cosmetic restoration, and the instrumentation was converted to kilometers for use in Europe, and given Plexiglas headlamp covers.
The next recorded private owner, Jean-Pierre Lacombe of Bernardsville, New Jersey, owned the Ferrari until 2009. It then passed to California Mark Sange. In 2012, Dr. Ajai Cadambi of Fort Worth, Texas, acquired the car from Mr. Sange. Dr. Cadambi displayed it at the Ninth Annual ItalianCarFest, where it received a first in class award.
The car is currently finished in its original color scheme and equipped with optional Borrani wire wheels. It has several rare and important accessories, including a tool roll and handbook set.By Daniel Vaughan | May 2017
